Rephrasy in ChatGPT

Rewrite AI-drafted text into natural, human-sounding prose without leaving ChatGPT, edit it side by side in Rephrasy Studio, and check how machine-written a draft reads.

Get started in four steps

  1. 1. Connect Rephrasy

In ChatGPT, open Plugins, search for Rephrasy and click Connect. A Rephrasy page opens: click Sign in with Rephrasy, sign in with Google or email (or create an account), then click Continue. You are sent back to ChatGPT and Rephrasy is ready.
  2. 2. Ask for a rewrite

Type @Rephrasy in the message box and paste your draft, for example:@Rephrasy make this blog intro sound more natural: "…"Rephrasy rewrites the text and shows the result in Rephrasy Studio.
  3. 3. Edit in Rephrasy Studio

Studio opens next to the conversation. Pick what the text is for (blog, marketing, SEO, report, technical), rewrite again, see every change with Show changes, edit the result directly, then Copy it or send it back to the chat. You can also open Studio any time from the ChatGPT sidebar.
  4. 4. Check the AI-likelihood score

Click Check AI score for a draft, or Compare AI scores after a rewrite, to see how machine-written the text reads and which passages scored highest. Scores are statistical estimates, not proof of authorship.

Questions

Which account does ChatGPT use?
The Rephrasy account you signed in with when connecting. Rewrites and checks in ChatGPT use that account's balance, the same as on rephrasy.ai. You can see your balance in Studio or on your account page.
What happens when my account runs out?
Studio tells you that the account has no usage left. Rewrites work again once your account has balance; see the available plans on rephrasy.ai.
How do I disconnect or switch accounts?
In ChatGPT, open Settings → Plugins → Rephrasy. Under Connected accounts you can connect another account, or click Uninstall to remove Rephrasy.
What happens to my text?
The text you send is processed to produce the rewrite or the score and handled as described in our privacy policy. Rephrasy only receives the text ChatGPT passes to it, not your other conversations.
Which languages and lengths are supported?
Rephrasy keeps the language of your text, or rewrites into a language you name. Each request takes up to 12,000 characters; split longer documents into sections.
ChatGPT says Rephrasy can't do something, or Studio does not open
Start a new chat and mention @Rephrasy again. If that does not help, uninstall and reconnect Rephrasy under Settings → Plugins. Studio appears in the conversation side panel on desktop and web.
Can I use Rephrasy for school or exam work?
Rephrasy is an editing tool for your own drafts. Do not use it to misrepresent authorship where original, unassisted work is required, such as graded coursework or exams.
