Humanizing a long document in form of a pdf or word file can be difficult. In this post, we are going to explain, how to use a AI Humanizer API to humanize long documents.

Which long document file types can be humanized?

Generally speaking, it's possible to use all kind of file types, meaning that you'd be able to humanize files with all of the following types:

  • .txt

  • .pdf

  • .doc, .docx

  • mp3

  • mp4

and a lot more.

You might ask yourself the question, "How is it possible to humanize a mp3 or mp4 file" - that's ok. It's possible using a Speech to Text (SST) or Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) model.

To all those people who are not really interested in the tech behind it, in a nutshell, it's just a model which does a voice to text transcription. So you feed voice into an AI model and get the text which was spoken as an output.

How long does it take to humanize long documents?

The processing speed is usually pretty quick, let's say it processes 1000 words in 5 seconds, which is around 2 - 4 pages of text, it would take up to maximum a few minutes for a really long document with around 500 pages.

The manual process of humanizing the AI text would probably take 10 times longer, if not more.

How to humanize long documents - step by step guide

First of all, we're working with Google Docs here. So go ahead an create a new document. After that you would go and look for extensions and App Scripts like in the screenshot below.

In the second step you rename the script and paste the code from here.

After pasting the code, make sure you save it.

From here on you need to select the onOpen function and then give permission to execute the script.

Permissions are required to communicate with the Rephrasy API and also to access the text, which is then automatically sent to the API in chunks - so the whole document is humanized.

These steps here are needed to make the Script work. The next popup will show you all permissions which are needed.

After confirming everything, you are able to use the Script. Now you just need to set your API Key, which you can find on your profile.

If you made it until here: Congratulations: You're now able to humanize your long documents with just one click with Google Docs!

With the final 8. step, it'll humanize your long document. Just click it and wait for a little while!
